The greens are coming, the greens are coming! The seeds that were planted last weekend (lettuce, radishes, carrots, beets, green onions, green beans, sugar snap peas, snow peas, squash and cucumber) have sprouted.
Lettuce hope that these plants do not suffer the sad fate of the squash, as pictured below.
Sad, sad squash. Notice how the leaves made a nice breakfast, lunch and dinner for a grasshopper. But the plant is still trying. It hasn't given up yet. Never give up. Repeat after me: Never give up.All this talk of vegetables has made me hungry. I'm heading off to make dinner. Hope you had a great weekend.
